West Star Aviation has appointed a new project manager at its facility in Grand Junction, Colorado. Sam McRickard has years of aviation experience. At Cirrus he held project management positions in research and development, as well as in engineering design and certification.
“Sam’s previous experience in programme management will be valuable to the West Star team and be an extra asset to our customers,” said Dave Krogman, general manager at the Grand Junction site.
“I am eager to be working directly with customers again and passionate about helping them get exactly what they envision when transforming their aircraft and leaving with the best experience possible from West Star,” said McRickard.
West Star Aviation specialises in the repair and maintenance of airframes, engines and APUs, avionics installations and repair, major modifications, interior refurbishment, exterior paint, accessory services and parts.
The company’s primary facilities are in East Alton, Illinois; Grand Junction, Colorado; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Perryville, Missouri.
West Star Aviation also maintains satellite facilities at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in Aspen, Colorado; Chicago Executive Airport in Chicago, Illinois; Centennial Airport in Denver, Colorado; Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport in Houston, Texas; Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Scottsdale Airport in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The company also provides complete FBO services for transient aircraft at its East Alton and Grand Junction facilities.
