Textron Aviation is now seeking applicants for its high school summer internships. These internships are designed to provide young minds with hands-on experience and exposure to diverse skills within the aviation industry. The company invites students between the ages of 16 and 19 to embrace this opportunity. Applications are due by 12 February.
The six-week internship programme runs from 3 June through 12 July. Textron Aviation said it enables students to explore their interests and aptitudes, while learning from seasoned professionals and contributing meaningfully to real-world projects. The internships are paid part-time positions, enabling students to earn and learn simultaneously.
From piloting to engineering, manufacturing to customer service, the possibilities for exploration are boundless, Textron Aviation said. Whether their passion lies in aircraft maintenance, avionics or flight operations, each intern is guaranteed an experience tailored to their unique interests and aspirations.
Textron Aviation also offers K-12 educator externships in Wichita, Kansas. These externships provide an opportunity for educators to gain insights into the aviation industry and explore potential career pathways.
The externships are scheduled for 10-14 June and 15-19 July. Applications are due by 12 February. Educators will have the chance to collaborate with industry professionals, participate in hands-on activities, and learn about the latest advancements in aviation technology. These externships aim to inspire and empower educators, enabling them to bring real-world experiences and knowledge back to their classrooms.
