West Star Aviation’s facility in Grand Junction, Colorado, has welcomed a new project manager. Jason Mital comes to the company with more than 25 years’ experience in corporate aviation, including in project management at both Elliot and Jet Aviation, and previously as a turbine shop mechanic then quality control inspector at Garrett Aviation.
“Jason will bring a wealth of knowledge to West Star and his extensive experience will benefit the team immensely,” said Dave Krogman, general manager at the facility.
“I was interested in West Star based on the prestige they held within the industry and am excited to offer my skills to the number-one MRO in the business,” said Mital.
West Star Aviation specialises in the repair and maintenance of airframes, engines and APUs, avionics installations and repair, major modifications, interior refurbishment, exterior paint, accessory services and parts.
Besides the Grand Junction site, the company has three other primary facilities in East Alton, Illinois; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Perryville, Missouri.
The firm also maintains satellite facilities at Aspen-Pitkin County Airport in Aspen, Colorado; Chicago Executive Airport in Chicago, Illinois; Centennial Airport in Denver, Colorado; Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport in Houston, Texas; Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Scottsdale Airport in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The company provides complete FBO services for transient aircraft at its East Alton and Grand Junction facilities.
