Together with the seat structure manufacturer PAC Seating System and the aviation interior design studio Alberto Pinto, AMAC’s engineering department has developed its first Cocoon Seat. The seat is qualified for the B747-8i and the company says it can be easily certified for other narrow- and wide-body aircraft.
AMAC Aerospace is also proud to report a new building process for lightweight cabinet build. The concept consists of veneer application, which integrates into a new composite panel with a new cabinet assembly process.
This concept is adapted to challenge the weight saving process in completion projects, and specifically for critical cabin monuments. The company says the weight reduction per monument could be as much as 30% in comparison to a standard cabinet build, while retaining a high-class aesthetic.
