A new range of customisable aircraft aisle carpets – the Traverse Design Series – has been launched by Delos.
The Delos design team, led by SCAD graduate Kate Cave, accepted the challenge of creating customisable designs that “visually affirm Delos’ ability to robotically tuft outside the boundaries of typical pattern repeats”, the company said.
Delos tufts custom carpets robotically, in the USA, and produces personalised carpets designed to perform at value-driven price points with swift delivery.
Traverse is often accented with subtle ombre effects. The central focus of the design series is implied movement, as design elements traverse down the aisle.
Customers collaborate with a Delos design concierge to discuss their selected Traverse design and to determine how to achieve the grandest appeal per the layout and design placement. The first six Traverse designs were revealed at NBAA-BACE 2022, with more to follow quickly.
Delos launched into the aircraft market at NBAA-BACE 2013, immediately following the purchase of U.S. Aircraft Carpet’s equipment assets in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Delos further expanded its aircraft segment in 2021.
