Carpet supplier Delos has appointed a new representative to serve the aviation and transportation sectors – Kristen Lentowicz.
Lentowicz is the founder of Luxe Interior Finishes. She has a degree in interior design from the University of Kentucky and was a designer for almost a decade before transitioning to sales. A four-year stint in office furniture, fabric and leather sales was followed by more than a dozen years at Garrett Leather, where she was introduced to the aviation and transportation industry. Lentowicz quickly realised she enjoyed this luxury niche.
Delos’ Aircraft QuickShip programme, developed with Lentowicz’s input, offers 36 patterns that can be customised with a choice of 25 neutral New Zealand wool colours and can be delivered in 2-3 weeks. Designs can be ordered as is or re-coloured quickly.
Delos tufts custom aircraft carpet without the need for a repeat design, saying this means aisle-accentuating carpet can be accomplished without seaming. Additionally, the company works to achieve unique textural patterns in wool and has added silk and EcoSilk (nylon) to its fibre offering. Each order is fulfilled specifically to the project’s size specification, to eliminate product waste and corresponding expense.
“I am excited to show the transportation market that Delos has access to American hand-detailed finishing, robotic tufting for consistency and speedier deliveries, and customisation without limits,” said Lentowicz.
The company says fully custom carpet designs that fall outside the QuickShip programme can be made in any colour with a 4-6-week lead time. Delos makes a design concierge available for the end-to-end production process.
“Kristen understands the urgency and accuracy that aviation customers demand,” said Leah Phillips, co-owner, Delos. “Luxury selections and the unique ability to provide custom American-made carpet with speed of delivery are solutions Kristen will enjoy in her wheelhouse.”
