Recognizing that clients usually shop by color, Edelman Leather has created a new Master Palette and categorized each of its products into one of 36 color families. The company has also shown off a “re-collection” of its three favorite embossed products.
Shagreen leather (pictured above) is vegetable-tanned, embossed with an irregular pebbled texture and hand-antiqued. The new palette includes 15 colors, including seven soft hues designed to “shimmer and glow”, and more saturated shades for a dramatic effect.
Meanwhile, Sulky (pictured above) is designed to offer a timeless, classic, masculine and refined aesthetic. The five new colors are intended to balance the collection and create an even gradient from light to dark. Two of the colors – Greystone and Saddle – are imported from the Luv-A-Bull collection, an example of Edelman’s willingness to cross-merchandise core colors.
Finally, Wagon Lit (pictured above) has been completely reworked, with new colors designed to make the most of the product’s intricate linen-like embossed pattern. Edelman says natural and neutral colors are well suited to this range. The colors include Sonic, Brown Bear and Old Oak, all of which take their direction from Ranger.
