Scott Group Studio has acquired RedRock, a manufacturer of machine-made carpets and rugs, in a move that expands its product offerings.
Scott Group Studio, a producer of hand-tufted carpets and rugs, has more than 53 years of experience in rug and carpet production and distribution through the design trade.
Headquartered out of a vertically integrated manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Scott Group Studio is a key supplier of hand-crafted carpets to the aviation completion market segment. A natural counterpart to Scott Group Studio’s core business, RedRock provides quick-turn and machine-made carpets designed for the aviation refurbishment market.
Offering patterned machine-made carpets, RedRock has 144 in-stock colours. RedRock has grown steadily over the past eight years. The Scott Group Studio and RedRock aviation sales teams will be integrated quickly to best service customers. National sales manager of aviation, Mikael Coursey, will be working with RedRock’s Haley Skinner to provide a seamless experience and transition.
“We recognised RedRock occupied a critical position in the aviation refurbishment landscape,” said Coursey. “After meeting with their team we knew that a partnership would be a great thing for both our companies and our customers. Our sales team integration is predicted to be complete by the middle of next year.”
RedRock’s president, Bob VanOrder, will continue his role as the president of RedRock, running the Winston, Georgia, operation while also becoming a member of the Scott Group Studio leadership team.
“We are excited to provide our combined expertise and expanded product offering to our customers,” said CEO Tim Hill. “Another reason the acquisition made sense for both companies is the corporate cultures are so much alike. We expect a seamless transition with little to no change in the day-to-day operations.”
With RedRock under the Scott Group Studio umbrella, Scott Group Studio will be positioned to meet a much broader range of customer needs and provide additional project-specific solutions now and well into the future.
