A new window technology option, CoolView, will be unveiled by Lee Aerospace when the company makes its debut appearance at EAA AirVenture, to be held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on July 23-29, 2018.
CoolView is a window replacement option designed to block up to 62% of the infrared rays (heat) coming through the windows and virtually all harmful UV rays. The product has an internal metallic barrier rather than an external coating that can wear off.
Lee Aerospace says it can conduct CoolView replacements virtually anywhere on the globe. It operates an FAA-certified repair station for repairs and installations, and its A&P mechanics and FAA-certified technicians will travel wherever needed to install the windows.
The product has PMA for King Air and Hawker 125 aircraft, and Lee Aerospace says other approvals are in the works.
